MIST Charter

At the 2007 Spring MIST meeting it was agreed that rather than a single MIST co-ordinator, a MIST council should be formed to organise and manage MIST activities. It was hoped that the MIST council would re-energise the MIST community whilst improving the visibility and impact of MIST science. Subsequently the first MIST council was elected and as part of their duties they undertook to develop a charter for the MIST community; this would define what MIST is and its purpose in this day and age.

Following community consultation, approval by MIST council and a vote by members of MIST teh new charter has been adopted. This new charter is available here as a PDF.

The document is not perfect but has been adopted and can be amended as the community sees fit following the guidelines within.
