UASD SHARE Radar
SHARE

Location: Halley
General Description

The SHARE radar at Halley remotely senses plasma convection 100-300km up in the ionosphere. The convection is driven by the same processes that cause the aurora. The picture (left) shows the SHARE radar array with the aurora lighting up the sky around it.
