The TSUNAMI Initiative
As we look further back in time, records quickly become incomplete as significant areas such as Australasia were sparsely populated. To enhance this catalogue, scientists have dated some of the deposits washed ashore by larger tsunami and used new sea-bed mapping techniques to discover their cause.
