Experimental program

SESAME will use a combination of sophisticated multi-instrument measurements from a single site (Halley Station: 75 36 S, 26 46 W, L=4.3), and less sophisticated observations from a network of locations, using automated geophysical observatories (AGOs). In addition, there will be supporting data from the BAS Faraday Station on Argentine Islands (65 15 S, 64 16 W; L=2.4) for the initial phase of the mission, where an ionosonde, fluxgate and La Cour magnetometers, and VLF/ELF receivers are operated.
