Merging at the magnetopause

The objectives of the project are to investigate and understand

  • The physics of merging at the dayside magnetopause, and
  • The ionospheric consequences of merging at the dayside magnetopause.

The key scientific topic currently being addressed are

The project exploits mainly data from the Halley PACE HF and SuperDARN radars, and complementary satellite data such as those from the Global Geospace Science Mission.
