Research interests: Regional sedimentology of the Devonian material in the Falkland Islands relative to the early Palaeozoic basin history of the Gondwana supercontinent. Geochemical provenance of these sediments to constrain the depositional environment and to aid in the palaeogeographical reconstruction of the pre-breakup position of the islands.

Research interests: The nature and origins of hydrothermal assemblages in magmatic-arc and extensional-rift settings. Mineralogic, fluid inclusion, isotopic and geochemical studies to identify crustal source regions, processes of fluid-rock interaction, alteration, brecciation, metasomatism and mineral deposition. The origins of hydrothermal assemblages in the Antarctic Peninsula active plate margin and their relation to subduction, magmagenesis and regional tectonics.
