A lively round-up of the science presented by BAS Geophysicist, Dr Tom Jordan, at the International Polar Year (IPY) Oslo Science Conference on Tuesday 8 June kicked off the first of three live webcast discussions to take place throughout the week.

Hosted by BBC science journalist, Sue Nelson, the Polar EXCHANGE attracted scientists attending the conference wanting to learn more about the exciting IPY findings of the Gamburtsev Mountain Range in East Antarctica.

People around the world can tune in to hear more from some of the world’s leading polar research scientists.

Also speaking were: Dr Jan-Gunnar Winther, Director of Norwegian Polar Institute Tim Naish, Victoria University of Wellington Mike Willis, Cornell University Steve Rintoul, Antarctic Climate & Ecosystems CRC

Future Polar EXCHANGE sessions will be held on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 June between 15.45 and 16.30 (UK time).
