Welcome to the (External) EUR-OCEANS Southern Oceans Data Portal (ESODAP). This is a proof of concept project to deliver circumpolar ecosystem data to the wider scientific community. We intend to develop the portal over the coming year to serve further biological data taken from the Discovery Investigations (1925-51).

This portal serves data resulting from a long-term data rescue project partially funded by (External) EUR-OCEANS . Currently the portal contains a variety of circumpolar species abundance and distribution data. The timescale of the datasets available on the data portal is indicated in the figure below. To access more information about these individual datasets use the menu on the left hand side of the page.
